Heart Dying in Winter
When a heart dies in winter,
It feels like it has been splintered,
And the pieces just melt away
There is no room for conversation,
The excuses have already been made
Some might say...
That the heart deserved this,
That the love just wasn't worth it,
But that doesn't make the pain change!
You left me standing there!
With a stunned expression on my face
How could you not be aware,
Of the direction my life had to take?
I was so overcome right then,
That a smile I could not fake
